This is just a sample of ideas for the bead fest. The piece has to be done by 31/3 so it is plenty of time but knowing me I will be sitting day and night in the end of march and work as a banshee...

2012 New year, new beginnings

This morning I got approved by Etsy beadembroidery Guild! That is just as huge as Etsy beadweaving team. And since I got my 6 pack of stiff stuff and several sheets of ultra suede to go with the asymetrical and the wavy cuff I have som embroidering in my future,
It is light outside today so hopefully I will be able to get better pictures soon :)

So... what should I start with? Readers choice

Preciosa, my precious

Yesterday a note from the post office came though my mailbox, I knew it was one of two things, a stone to open my throatchakra OR the samples from Preciosa Ornela that I will be working with and try out. I was under the weather so I thought that it could wait till today and so it did.
It was a box, so way to big to be the stone so it had to be the samples. I ran from the store to my sister who lives the closest and opened it up... And all the goodies came out, one by one...

You see, goodies to play and find out how to work them. It is a 5 mm long bead with 2 holes. Fantastic colors and I cannot wait to try them out!
I was ment to make stitch sample cards for my class today but there is always until classes start tomorrow :D

RAW on pause and another project is being born

I asked myself if it was possible to change the color on the rosecab since a person only need so many black and white rosecabs so I gave it a shot. With only pencils and diamond glaze it looked like watercolors, so I got a bit creative and used tempera mixed with the diamond glaze and this is the results, the lighter is only tempera and diamond glaze and the darker ones is painted with pencils first.

And here is a new project, you will be able to follow it to the Etsy shop and see me make changes, both good and bad once. It is barely visable but on the felt I have drawn paisleypatterns. Thoose are one of the changes I will make, or in this case totally ignore.
You will get an update as soon as I made the pendant as I want it :)

Ok, this is why I hate my brain. If I did not struggle to keep RAW out of my head as much as possible I would have figured out this idea myself a long time ago, not getting it from the fabulous magazine Bead n´Button. The idea is so simple, but who came up with RAW with size 15/0 beads?

So this is this necklaces journey, if it survives another cat attack...

And the cab... I will sacrifice one to find out if I can dye them, I do not need this many black and whites. I will keep you posted :)

The center is the Cresent moon with a protecting pentagram, above the woods flourish in the soil, beneath the fires are burning. The air swirls to the right and the water makes thier waves on the left.
In this you got all you need for life to exist.

This won me the first prize at Sirlig.se and woke me up instantly :)

I have finally worked up the courage to make a bead embroidered necklace and the first thing is to come up with a shape. And here it is. It is huge, I know but if your gonna do it do it properly :)

Defeat and the procrastination nono

I was supposed to enter a contest with the theme four elements... Well, I thought and came up with a great idea... sadly I did nog work at it as much as I had to. So I folded 3 am. My head was killing me from 2 allnighters and the fact that it is supposed to be in today.

Not finished beadwork, no edging, no comp.

So procrastinate less even if it is the easy way to go.
I will take a bit of a break from this so that I can do a memorypiece for a friend of mine.

I started an Etsy shop last night, and I am slowly working though my panic attacks and adding more and more to the shop. And to add to this wonderful new thing I am doing... I am now a proud member of Etsy Beadweavers!!!! I can participate in challenges, my store can be recommended.... only good things come from Etsy beadweavers :)

This is the first bracelet I embroidered, it has a metal core but is as light weight as it can be with this amount of beads :D

Today they will announce who is the winner in the Alchemy comp at Smyckestillbehör.se.... Since I have a tiny fear of faces (noticed that I have´nt been doing to much on my dollseal?) my entry creeps me out... but I had researched alchemy and this was the more metaphysical display of that.... and I am waiting and waiting....

The theme was intentions and you had to get happy just by the colors so I made this. The colors are the happiest I got and my intention was to get the circles round :)

I am going on a challenge with my sister and an internet friend is joining in as well. It is a version of Sirlig pärlors bracelet challenge.

My version might take a little longer but it will be rewarding at the end.
I made a bracelet each for me and my sister, we will wear them each day and for every time we have a negative thought we have to change the wrist. The goal is to have the bracelet on the same wrist for 3 weeks.

Earrings and the power of the sparkle

This is the earrings I made with ICE resin. I have used a one hole ring and a few layers of resin and glitter inbetween. I think they turned out quite well for a first try :D

I have been playing with a, for me new medium, ICE resin. It is fun and I can play alot with it :)
So I made some lockets and some bottles. Some rings and I bet there will be other things :D
The candy on this ring and on the locket is made out of sculpey and set with a few layers of sparkling resin

The roses was tricky to get in and the letters was a hassel but I think it is cute and a nice way to tell someone how you feel :)

Polymer cake

Since I got my new kitten I have not been able to bead as I want.
BUT there is one thing I can do that he does not get involved with.... Polymer clay.

So last night I made some cakes.

Some are earrings, some are anything you like with a lobster clasp and some you can put anywhere :D

Headache and the results of that

It felt like my head was about to explode yesterday but I could not relax and sleep either so I headed to this page that my sister showed me and did it.
The result is... not straight at all, could probably need som more work but hey, I dont do this fimo thing all that often so when I do... well lets just say that I am happy with it.

The set will of course be given to my darling sister that introduced me to fimo fractals :D

Baby seal

My chrochet baby seal is coming along nicely. I have sewn freshwaterpearl flowers on to it and tonight I will start the embroidery. It will be a truly "love peace and understanding" seal pup and I hope it will acomplish what I really want it to... stopping the killing of baby seals to make furs...

I have my head filled with more bizarre jewellery so I really want to get this one done so that I can start with the others... No doll heads though... I am having hard enough time with this one since I am kinda afraid of dolls... and santas....(shivers down the spine)

Artbeads and surrendering to the pressure

Just saw a post on facebook where you could win 50$ giftcertificate to Artbeads Gosh I wish I could win something like that... my current situation does´nt allow me any purchase wich leaves me out of most of the competitions....

I had to surrender to the pressure for the Bead trends comp... I´m just to scattered to do anything at the moment... none of the other comps will get an entry either. Sad but I am hoping for next year. It just cannot be as bad as this one.

Will put up the pics of the halfmade things I have done, they will get finished but not right now... perhaps during thoose boring days between christmas and new year.

Since it has been a long while since I have written anything in this blogg I feel it is just right for me to explain why I now write in english.

I am stepping out of the safety of the box and into the world. In swedish only swedes understand what I write. In english everyone does.

I have just entered a beading contest that is held by Good Quill hunting

This is my entry.

And now I am sitting with the next competition entry, one of many in that contest since I will be entering in several different categories.
So you see, international competitions and more to come, it is only natural to change the language as well. I am not the same as I was 2 years ago. I have grown, both as a person and as a beader. Hope to see you all soon.

Jag har fått tokdille på peyote så jag syr med det så fort jag får chansen. Dessa är resultat av det :)

Till vänster är gudinnan, hon kommer att fungera antingen som fönstersmycke eller halsband, eller kanske både ock. Till höger är en amulettpåse med en triquatra, för närvarande en favorit :)

Dessa underbara armband är gjorda med lampwork och tibetsilver på wire. Alla lampworkpärlor är ju ghelt unika eftersom dom är handgjorda så man vet att det smycke man har på sig är one of a kind.
